The author, a nun of the order of the Benedictine of Our Lady of Calvary, has been writing icons since 1962. Sr Marie-Paul Farran was born in Egypt, of Palestinian and Italian descent. She paints in the Byzantine style, following faithfully the ancient patterns and colours. She is the author of the Icon of the Holy Family known and distributed worldwide.
